Contest of the Undefeated

Tuesday’s matchup: Somerset Berkley Field Hockey at Joseph Case

It was an impressive game this past Tuesday for the Raiders against the Cardinals. The division four Cardinals went into the game with a record of 12-0-1. Also undefeated going into this game were the division two Raiders with a record of 14-0-1. There was high anticipation and excitement in this game for the Raiders. The last time the Raiders played the Cardinals was on Somerset Berkley’s Pink Out, the Raiders came out on top with a 3-0 win against the undefeated Cardinals. Once again, the Raiders beat the undefeated Cardinals, this time with a score of 10-1, on their grass Pink Out game.

This is how it went…

Very early into the game Case opened up with their first and only goal the Raiders allowed for the entire game. Following this Karissa Albin scored her first of three goals in this game. The Raiders dominated the offensive end of the field leading to more goals scored by Ryan Crook, Julie Pacheco, and Addie Finlaw. After halftime, Emily Carr had a hat trick, making for two hat tricks for the Raiders in both halves of the game. Maura Kennedy also chipped in a goal in this game and Tatum Swanson led with three assists.
