SBRHS Girls Soccer Team Takes Home The Cabral Cup Again

The SBRHS Raiders played for the Cabral Cup against Case Monday night. The Raiders came out strong breaking down Case’s defense one run at a time. Case put up a tough fight in the first half, but Catherine Brownell was able to dribble through Case’s defense and cross the ball to Careys Carey for a quick goal to make the game 1-0 to finish the first quarter. The Raiders came out in the second half hungry to put more goals in the back of the net. Julia Costa sent a ball to Lauren Roosa where she put the ball in the back of the net. Kenzie Pieres dribbled up the sideline and sent a perfect pass to Layla Venancio allowing her to score. Julia Costa went head to head for the ball drawing a foul where Emily Fernandes sent a ball in the back of the net from outside the 18. Julia Costa was able to secure the last goal of the game making the final score 6-0 and the Raiders took the Cabral Cup back home to Somerset Berkley.
