Last Week’s Sports Recap

SB Field Hockey Takes Down Apponequet and Durfee 

On September 5th, Somerset Berkley won 3-1 against Apponequet. Addie Finlaw netted the first goal which was assisted by Ryan Crook. Following this, Ella Vaught scored off of a penalty corner assisted by Karissa Albin. To finish it off for the Raiders, Julie Pacheco netted her first varsity goal assisted by Karis Botelho.

 

Then on September 12th, Somerset took on Durfee and won with a score of 7-1. Ryan Crook started the game with the first two goals unassisted. Following Crook was Emily Carr and Reagan Killoran, each with two goals. In the last quarter, Addie Finlaw scored off of a stroke penalty shot.

 

SB Soccer Faces Durfee

On September 9th, girl’s soccer went up against Durfee and won 2-1. Lauren Roosa scored the first goal and Alex Souza followed with a goal from a penalty kick.

 

SB Football Triumphs over Stoughton 

Finally, on September 15th, our football team won 35-14 against Stoughton. Ethan Santos had 2 touchdowns, Sam Grew, had 2 touchdowns, Jimmy Phenix had 1 touchdown, and Brendan “Biz” Mcdonald had an interception.
