The Bad Bunny halftime show was record breaking with a higher number of views than the popular Kendrick Lamar halftime show that had broken previous records. Bad Bunny racked up between 135.4 Million and 142.3 Million viewers while Kendrick Lamar had set a record 133.5 Million views. His entire show was symbolic in some sense relating to Puerto Rico and current world problems. His show represented the 50 million people in the U.S who speak Spanish. During the show, he was able to sing a portion of 13-14 songs with multiple different settings. Bad Bunny also pulled off having a real wedding ceremony in his show. He was invited to a wedding that he could not attend since he had to do the halftime show. Since he could not be there he invited the couple to be part of the show. In that wedding Lady Gaga was featured singing an adapted version of “Die With a Smile”. Another moment of representation for the people of Puerto Rico was the traditional hat called a pava. The pava is a hat typically worn by field workers in Puerto Rico. It represents the hard working spirits, roots, and the common people as a whole. In his halftime show, Bad Bunny had a field of sugar cane with workers all wearing pavas. This gave representation of all the hard workers of Puerto Rico.
