Volleyball Recap week of 9/25

Varsity+Volleyball+Team+
Varsity Volleyball Team

The Somerset Berkley volleyball team had a few games this past week. The Raiders faced Bourne High School on Monday and they came in pretty strong. The Freshmen team beat Bourne and had amazing hits and passes. The Junior Varsity team also beat Bourne High School and they were doing amazing throughout the game with some great serves and passes. Lastly, the Varsity team was doing pretty well with some notable players like Addie Parent, Lauren Kanuse, Zach Dauphin, and many others but unfortunately didn’t beat Bourne High School even though they performed pretty well. On Wednesday, the Raiders faced Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School and were amazing throughout the whole game. They worked really hard and were fully able to take down DR. The volleyball team won in all three sets. The Freshman, JV, and Varsity all had outstanding performances. Then on Thursday last week they faced New Bedford High School; all three teams won again. They came out on the court ready to play. The volleyball team really showed that practice paid off. Ryleigh Brown did great in the back row for the JV team and all players showed their dedication for the sport while playing. If you’re not afraid to dive then you’re not afraid to give it your all. The volleyball team has many games this week; they play West Bridgewater Middle-Senior High School on Monday, Great New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School on Wednesday, and Seekonk High School on Friday. Good Luck Raiders!
