Micaela Rennick is a freshman from Somerset who attends SBRHS.  Sarah Wilson is a freshman from Berkley who also attends SBRHS.  With Case Rally just a few days away, we recently interviewed our friends on their expectations of it.

1. Do you have any siblings that have participated in Case Rally?

I have a brother, who is a senior, who plays in the pit.

2. If so, how did they like Case Rally?

My brother really enjoys comparing all of the skits, and seeing if he agrees with the judges.

3. What word have you heard around the halls of SBRHS about Case Rally?

I have always heard that the freshman do poorly and the upperclassmen make fun of them.  However, I have also heard that the freshman last year didn’t do so bad, so hopefully we can live up to that.

4. Who do you think will win Case Rally?

The seniors will probably win, because the judges give them good points.  It’s expected that the senior class wins every year.  They will be trying harder than ever to win because it is almost a disgrace if they don’t do well.

5. What do you think is going to happen at Case Rally?

I think a lot of the classes will be wearing their class color.  Also, there will be a lot of commotion because of the excitement in the air.  I know the chorale will be singing the national anthem which will be nice.  Of course, we will watch the skits and the audience will laugh along.

6. Who do you think is going to win the football game, Case or Somerset-Berkley?

Somerset-Berkley, obviously!  They have had a pretty good season this year and have done well against Case in the past.  Hopefully, they won’t get too cocky though, because it may affect their performance.

7. What are your personal feelings about Case Rally in general?

I am really excited to watch Case Rally!  This is my first year attending it. I think I will really like Case Rally because I love skits!  Also, it’s nice to be able to enjoy the day and not having to worry about schoolwork.

8. I hear you have your own Youtube channel.  What’s it about and why is it about that subject?

Through my Youtube channel, I teach people how to do different hairstyles.  It all started because I fell in love with styling hair.  I love how one can express themselves through their hair.  Also, I love how you can combine a few techniques to create something that is admired.  After learning the right techniques, I have created some of my own from my art and creativity.  My aunt is training at a beauty school for hair-styling.  She was the first person who showed me YouTube channels about hair, and ever since then I’ve been obsessed!  Whenever someone at school asked me how to do something, I never knew how to respond.  Now that I have a YouTube channel, I can take requests and show my viewers how to make it through a video.  I am not a professional in video making, and a lot goes into it, but it is a really fun hobby!  Even though I do not have a lot of viewers or subscribers (not that I ever expect to), making videos has given me a new perspective.  Even though I haven’t posted in a while because of the adjustment to high school, I plan to post regularly soon!  It really pays off to hear teachers and students at school who I have never spoken to before say how much they like my videos.  It would be really helpful if anyone gave me suggestions!  I do post daily hairstyles on Instagram and Twitter, so you can follow me @magicalmicaela or Micaela Rennick on Facebook!  My Youtube account is Micaela Rennick or just search Magical Micaela!

Sarah Wilson

1.  Do you have any siblings that have participated in Case Rally?

Yes, my older sister Caroline helped out when she was a freshman and sophomore.

2.  If so, how did they like Case Rally?

She had a lot of fun participating in it.

3.  What word have you heard around the halls of SBRHS about Case Rally?

I’ve heard that its a lot of fun, a good way to make friends, and also to work together.

4.  Who do you think will win Case Rally?

I think that the seniors will win, because they have a lot more experience.

5. What do you think is going to happen at Case Rally?

I think the skits will be funny and the students will enjoy it. Also I think that the skits will be better as the grades go higher, like the sophomores will be better than the freshman, juniors will be better than the sophomores, and the seniors will be better than the juniors.

6. Who do you think is going to win the football game, Case or Somerset-Berkley?

Somerset-Berkley because we have won a lot of games this year.

7. What are your personal feelings about Case Rally in general?

I think it’s a fun event that is a good way to bring the students together, and I am glad we have it to rally for the football game on Thanksgiving. Also, its a great way to show our school spirit and pride.
