It is once again that time, the new year is approaching and this year is coming to a close. This is a motivating and happy time for a lot of people but it can also be stressful. Sometimes people get upset because they might not have reached their goals or they might not have done everything that they wanted. This can affect self esteem in a negative way therefore you might not want to acknowledge the new year or want to set new goals. But I’m here to tell you how you can shift your mindset in a positive way and look at the new year as an opportunity to reinvent yourself. You don’t have to wait for the new year to become the best version of yourself. You can do this right now and be one step ahead on your self growth journey.
First of all, before stepping into the new year it is super important to reflect on the previous year. Look through your camera roll and remind yourself of all the things that you have done this year. We often forget all the amazing experiences that we’ve had and it’s nice to refresh your memory. Maybe this year wasn’t your year and instead of putting yourself down, think about the hardships that you faced and what lessons they taught you. You can search up journal prompts online to assess the year on a deeper level. You can also make a list of the ins and outs for 2025. Once that is done then you can start by writing down goals for the next year. Instead of writing an overwhelming amount of goals, write 10 important ones and then write actionable steps next to each one to hold yourself accountable. Setting monthly goals can also be beneficial that way you know you are on track throughout the year. Then, what I love to do is make a vision board for my goals. It’s so fun and gets you excited for the new year. Pick out photos and quotes that align with your goals and put them all together. You can make a board online or make a physical one, whatever works for you. Make sure to put the vision board in a place where you can see it all the time so you have a constant reminder of where you are trying to get to.
Lastly, you ask, what can I do to make 2025 a great year? You know what makes you happy and therefore try to implement as much of those things in your daily routine as you can. Try to maintain your peace in the new year. Take out the things that don’t serve you anymore or let go of people who don’t align with your values. Stop waiting around for happiness to come find you, go and create it. Develop a powerful mindset that helps you get through anything. Also build discipline, you might be motivated now but that’s not going to stay everyday of the year. To strengthen your mind, listen to positive podcasts and read self help books. Another thing that you can do is go and follow people on social media who inspire you and unfollow people who don’t. When you focus on making your life as happy and abundant as possible, amazing opportunities and people start coming your way. I hope that 2025 is your best year and that all your dreams manifest!
