Senior president of Student Government Jack Fredette

Hello everyone, my name is Aisha Imran and I am a sophomore at SBRHS and I am happy to say that this year’s election for student council has recently happened. Student council is a place where people can take charge of the school and make the school a better place by making necessary improvements and planning events for the school year. Students can run for positions and become part of the student government. Every year people run for a position that they are passionate about and that really shows your school spirit. Since the elections recently happened I wanted to interview the presidents of each grade and ask them specific questions so everyone could get to know them a little better since they have taken the responsibility to represent their grade and make the school more enjoyable and more exciting.

Role : Senior president of Student Government Jack Fredette

How does it feel to be the president of the student government and know that you’re representing your grade?

I’m very proud of it and I wouldn’t have expected it 4 years ago. I want to make an impact and really bring change to the school. It feels good and it’s an amazing opportunity and I’m happy to be here.

What made you want to run for president or why did you choose to do this?

I try my best to get involved in as many activities as I can to really bring up the school spirit and I want to contribute to the school. I think getting involved is important and I try my best to be there. I’m from Berkeley and I want to really show Somerset what I can give to the school.

What are your ideas for the 2023-2024 school year?

Right now, Case Rally and making it amazing since it’s the biggest event.  Case Rally is my main concern and I want to get people involved and make it as exciting as it can be. I want to get people involved and really show what we Raiders can do.

What are some goals that you want to accomplish by the end of this school year?

Getting as many people involved in school activities and making the best out of the school year and being a part of something bigger. I want to have a great memorable year and just want the school to live to the fullest.

What is a piece of advice that you would give someone who looks up to you?

It doesn’t matter what people think of you so you shouldn’t worry about that and just do what you want.

Those were some amazing answers from Jack Fredette. Jack is such a nice, talented, and smart person. I think that this role was made for Jack and I wouldn’t want anyone else as our senior president. I wish Jack the best of luck, we’re all here for you Jack. Congratulations!
