On Sunday May 14th, several SBRHS students, their families, and other members of the community gathered at the Gazebo on County Street to peacefully protest the current potential overturning of the Supreme Court case Roe V. Wade and advocate for reproductive rights for all. Organized by SBRHS juniors Julia Costa and Kylee Schecter, the protest was successful in bringing together pro-choice members of the community and rallying support for their cause. Members of the Somerset Town Democratic Committee joined in peacefully protesting as well. This peaceful display will not be an isolated occurrence, as Costa and Schecter plan to continue to express their beliefs and speak out about such matters.
