Debate Season Comes to an End

SBRHS’ debate team, led by advisor Mr.Chase and captains Anna Connor and Emily McKenna, had their last debate of the season on Wednesday, March 2. SBRHS’ debate team fared quite well this season, with several members reaching the league leaderboard for top speaker points and wins. Among these members are Claire Daigle, the 10th novice affirmative speaker in the league, Emily Daigle, the 6th novice affirmative speaker in the league, Claire and Emily Daigle, the 5th novice affirmative team in the league in debates won and speaker points, and Anna Connor and Thomas Rose, the 5th varsity affirmative team in the league in debates won and speaker points. Debate team seniors are as follows: Anna Connor, Emily McKenna, Morgan Couto, El Larabee, and Thomas Rose. These seniors worked extremely hard and put in outstanding effort to run the debate team and be successful in their own debates throughout the season.
