Q. When you were a little kid, did you want to be when you grew up?

A. I didn’t have a specific thing I wanted to be when I grew up. It changed whenever I joined a new activity. There was a time when I wanted to be a soccer player and another when I wanted to be a violinist.

Q. What is your favorite topic to teach in Chemistry?

A. My favorite topic to teach is light emission. I really enjoy the flame test lab and the other demos that show how each element emits its own unique color.

Q. If you have one, what is your hidden talent?

A. I wouldn’t consider this a hidden talent in the traditional sense, but I don’t think a lot of people at the school know that I can sing. I was a choir student during high school.

Q. What’s your favorite snack/food?

A. My favorite food by far is cheese, especially extra sharp cheddar.

Q. If you weren’t a high school teacher, what would you be?

A. I would be an environmental chemist researching the health and restoration of wetlands and rivers.

Q. What is your favorite store, and why?

A. I cannot think of a specific store, but my favorite type of store are small independent bookstores. I love these stores because they often have a cozy atmosphere and the workers are very passionate about books and reading.

Q. What is your favorite pastime?

A. As expected based on my answer to the last question, my favorite pastime is reading. I also enjoy going to see musicals.
