Random Acts of Kindness

With the holidays coming closer every day, it is important to remember to be thankful for the things you have and the opportunities you’ve been given. Doing small, kind things for other people is an easy way to let them know how much you appreciate them. This is why I challenge you to perform these 25 random acts of kindness to show the people around your gratitude.
- Give a friend a compliment
- Have a nice conversation with someone you haven’t spoken to in a while
- Donate old books to your local library
- Bring in a special treat for your friends
- Pick up litter from the ground
- Hold the door open for someone behind you
- Sit with someone that looks lonely at lunch
- Let someone go in front of you in line
- Leave positive comments on sticky notes around school
- Smile at 5 strangers in the hall
- Give someone a hug
- Do extra help around the house
- Leave an extra big tip if you go out to eat
- Write a thank you note to your bus driver
- Put spare change in charity boxes
- Spend some time to play a game with a younger relative
- Say thank you to a janitor
- Call an older relative and ask how they’re doing
- Send a care package to someone in the military
- Give your neighbors some baked goods
- Donate a toy to Toys for Tots
- Help wrap presents
- Make a homemade gift for someone
- Offer to help make dinner
- Tell someone why you appreciate them

These acts of gratitude and kindness are so simple and easy to do that anyone can do at least one of them. But as small and simple as they are, they can make a HUGE difference. This is a great article and I hope many people challenge themselves to do these 25 acts.
