With the holidays coming closer every day, it is important to remember to be thankful for the things you have and the opportunities you’ve been given. Doing small, kind things for other people is an easy way to let them know how much you appreciate them. This is why I challenge you to perform these 25 random acts of kindness to show the people around your gratitude.

  1. Give a friend a compliment
  2. Have a nice conversation with someone you haven’t spoken to in a while
  3. Donate old books to your local library
  4. Bring in a special treat for your friends
  5. Pick up litter from the ground
  6. Hold the door open for someone behind you
  7. Sit with someone that looks lonely at lunch
  8. Let someone go in front of you in line
  9. Leave positive comments on sticky notes around school
  10. Smile at 5 strangers in the hall
  11. Give someone a hug
  12. Do extra help around the house
  13. Leave an extra big tip if you go out to eat
  14. Write a thank you note to your bus driver
  15. Put spare change in charity boxes
  16. Spend some time to play a game with a younger relative
  17. Say thank you to a janitor
  18. Call an older relative and ask how they’re doing
  19. Send a care package to someone in the military
  20. Give your neighbors some baked goods
  21. Donate a toy to Toys for Tots
  22. Help wrap presents
  23. Make a homemade gift for someone
  24. Offer to help make dinner
