Shattered
February 4, 2019
I thought you cared about me
As much as I cared about you.
But in a single moment,
That glass was shattered.
A shard in m heart
And one in the back.
Our future was broken
Along with my hope.
What you did was bad enough,
But you didn’t need to make me
Feel bad about myself.
Our love was opaque glass
Where nothing was clear.
You kept secrets hidden
And told lies I couldn’t see through.
But in a single moment,
That glass was shattered.
And I finally saw things clearly.
