I was not meant for this,

this fragile existence in a tiny human shell.

I am bigger than this frame.

My mind reaches far beyond the limits of my body.

I was born to fly.

I was made to dance among the stars,

not to walk this tiny pebble called Earth.

And others do not feel this?

Perhaps I am insane.

Just an angel with clipped wings –

trapped, grounded, lost, confused.

But in my mind, I’m somewhere far from here,

dancing and free.
